Hair loss can be a distressing experience, affecting self-confidence and overall well-being.

The good news is that there are affordable and effective solutions available that can help prevent hair loss and promote healthy hair growth.

In this article, I will explore some of the budget-friendly options, including popular brands like Kesh King, Chämpo, and l’Occitane, along with a natural remedy like castor oil.

    1. Kesh King: A herbal marvel for hair health

Kesh King is a well-known brand that offers herbal hair care products aimed at preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth. John Lewis starts renting out dresses with new Hurr service

In a partnership with rental specialist Hurr, department store John Lewis has launched its first womenswear rental platform. It is available at johnlewis.com/fashionrental and features a selection of exclusive John Lewis labels as well as over 20 new contemporary brands.

As stated by the company, the goal is to “encourage a more sustainable way of shopping that doesn’t cost the Earth.”

A report recently revealed that Britain buys more clothes per person than any other country in Europe, and the fashion industry as a whole is responsible for 8%-10% of annual global carbon emissions.

“As a retailer, we need to provide our consumers with a more sustainable solution. This is why John Lewis Fashion Rental was created,” according to the company.

Rental prices begin at £20 for a “carefully curated” mix of the firm’s own …

NuFACE Mini – cheaper than Caci and you can do it at home

With beauty salons still close, there are probably a lot of ladies and gents just like me who are thinking how can we make sure that when the lockdown is over, we don’t look too bad.

I have been looking at Caci for a while as I’ve heard that it’s the facial treatment of choice in Hollywood without having any needles or surgery. It basically uses microcurrents to give your face a workout.

I investigated the pricing and it looked like about £300 and then with that you would need to go a couple of times a week for a few weeks to get the face started and then you do need maintenance which could be from £35 a month depending on many areas do you want to be treated.

With no beauty salons open …

Review: salon quality gel nails for a fraction of the price and at home

Gel nail manicures cost me between £10 and £34, with the £10 ones lasting barely a week typically, so I wanted a solution to having beautiful nails without paying the high cost. I have tried “gel” varnishes, “gel” top coats and frankly they don’t look anywhere as good as proper gel cured under a LED lamp. So what’s a girl to do? …spend close to £300 a year on nails or find another solution? decided to find another way and think I have found it with Polish to Gel Transformer Starter Kit from SensatioNail.

Basically, you can use it to turn your favourite nail varnishes into a gel manicure! By mixing your own polish with SensatioNail’s Polish to Gel formula and curing under the UV lamp, SensatioNail promises to achieve the same results as …

£10 facial, £7 haircut – local colleges offer cheaper beauty and hair than high street salons

College beauty is nice and cheap

Well with party season around the corner…we have our first one on 8 November…eeks, I need to think of ways to look great without spending loads.

My last cut and colour was a staggering £91 (sharp intake of breath!). That has happened once and let’s just say, I have now switched to Casting Creme Gloss from Superdrug at £5 a pop, once a month for colour, but cut I really can’t do at home.

So with my friend Google, I went exploring and discovered that my local college can offer discounted treatments and that is going to be a real godsend. I have booked in my first facial and took a sneak peak at the facilities …they are just like a posh high street salon. Most colleges offer a wide range of services from a …
