Make money from old socks on eBay

So after reading a post on making money from loo roll on eBay, I started to have a hunt around and see what other old rubbish you can sell and make money on eBay.

Would you believe that these old odd socks went for £15.50 and they aren’t even new. Or that these white beauties that don’t even look clean went for £4.99 and the lister confirmed that this isn’t an adult material listing….eee yew!

Or what about these 8 long football socks which sold for £4.20. They are “from my own home – freshly laundered  READY to wear ” according to the listing.

I am actually very excited about this opportunity as I have stacks of kids socks that are odd, though I am not sure that’d I’d want them.

    I did some digging …

Aldi outdoor clothing range – Specialbuy

Rain and wind needn’t spoil exploring the great outdoors. Perfect for amblers, family outings and intrepid explorers, Aldi’s Outdoor range of clothes and footwear for adults and children goes into stores on 11 September, available while stocks last. And if you missed Aldi’s outdoor clothing Specialbuy or can’t get to a store, check the bottom of my post for some alternatives.

Whatever the weather, keep little feet happy with Children’s Warm Lined Rainboots (£5.99). Perfect for playing outdoors, the boots mean kids can have a splashing good time, without having to suffer in soggy socks.

Ensure tiny toes stay extra toasty in Aldi’s Children’s Welly Socks (£2.29). And young fans are sure to fall in love with Aldi’s Children’s Character Umbrellas (£2.99), which feature favourites such as Planes, Spiderman, Disney Princesses or Minnie Mouse.…

Oasis sale – check out my gorgeous new dresses

Just had to share my sale bargains from Oasis today. I got three dresses for £86 from £245.

The maxi was £40 from £95, the white laser cut skater dress was from £75 to £22 and the butterfly dress was from £75 to £24 – it’s 100% silk and they have it in black too.

Riding gear at Aldi – special buy

Now I must admit that I do buy Aldi’s ski gear, so was interested to see that they have a new equestrian range for 2014.

I am sad that Aldi do a “once it’s gone it’s gone” policy, but I also like the excitement of thinking what treasure will I find in store this week. Rather like when Tchibo had stores in the UK, I loved those guys too.

Unfortunately, I know that you may read this post after July 2014, the range is in shops from 24 July, so where possible I have listed other places to buy great value riding gear online in case you miss the great deal at Aldi.

I must admit while looking around, I can see that Aldi offers seriously good value and it was too hard to find …

    Mrs Bargain visits Peacocks

Peacocks definitely has thrown off its fuddy duddy image. I went in for the first time in years as a new branch has opened up near me.

What I found was florals, maxi dresses, jumpsuits and much more. The store manager was really sweet and when I asked him what the best sellers were, he took me around the store and showed me about 20 items, including a sort of boho range called Post Script.

I would say that the store catered more for the younger ladies now, from teens to 30s, with a small but decent range for men and much younger children and babies. There is a permanent 10% off for students and the prices were really good compared to Marks and Spencers and Next, but of course you get what you pay …

Aldi goes large – new plus size range of women’s clothes in store

With the average dress size now 16, Aldi is also trying to muscle in on the growing (no pun intended) plus size market with its announcement today of a range for women wearing 16 – 30 clothes.

The range focuses on casual clothing and is in store from today. They’ve got essential wear, wide fitting loafers, tights and undies. I do buy Aldi clothes and they are usually a hit, especially thermals for skiing, gloves and accessories, so I’d be happy to seem them succeed with this range of clothing. Here is some of the range:

    Shorty PJs, £8.99 (Sizes: 18-28)

Made from comfy cotton, these cool Shorty PJs come with a top and shorts and are available in two fun designs, so you can head to bed feeling cool and looking fabulous.

Where to buy cheap designer jeans?

Unless you’re a regular visitor to the US, designer jeans are not cheap, so where do you find the brands without splashing the cash?

I wear jeans pretty much every day and so do most of my friends and family. And when it comes to buying jeans, there are plenty of shops that sell them. If you’re shopping for jeans on a tight budget, you’ve got plenty of options both on the high street and online, from Primark to New Look and other similar stores.

The only problem with cheap jeans is, as with anything, you get what you pay for.

So I turned my quest for a good pair of jeans to the designer aisles – I do not deny myself luxury once in a while, I deserve it. Brands such as Levi’s, G …
