    Virgin Media gives free children’s TV shows to customers until 21 April

    Virgin Media is giving free children’s TV shows to customers as school children and younger are staying during the coronavirus lockdown.

    Subscribers to Virgin Media will be able to access seven of its popular kids’ channels for free until 21 April:

    • Boomerang
    • Cartoon Network
    • Cartoonito
    • Nickelodeon
    • Nick Jr
    • Nick Jr Too
    • NickToons

    The upgrade will automatically be applied to customers on Virgin Media’s Player, Mixit (without Kids TV pick) and Maxit (without Kids TV pick) bundles at no extra cost.

    ‘With some parents across the UK at home with their little ones, Virgin Media is offering families a helping hand to keep their kids entertained,’ the television, internet and phone provider said in a press announcement.

    With gyms closed and people asked to stay at home, a lot of us will be looking for alternative methods of getting or keeping fit.

    Here’s a round up of online keep fit that’s free. If you do sign up for stuff that’s free for a fixed number of days, eg 30 days, then set a reminder to cancel or if you can cancel straight away if the service allows you to do that and still use it!

    Whether on the way to work or as a treat, grabbing a hot coffee is a ritual for many of us (don’t forget your reusable cup though!). Sadly said coffee is often quite pricey, so where can you get a free cup…here’s a few places.

    1.Greggs – download the free Greggs loyalty app and you get a free regular hot drink when you register.

    2. IKEA – free tea or filter coffee you get every weekday at Ikea when you sign up for a free Family card. It’s nothing to do with having children – just being part of the ‘family’ of Ikea’s customer base. The card entitles you to other special prices on goods in store too.

    The lovely people at Hubspot are giving away loads of free pics that you can use on your blog (dear blogger friends), for your marketing if you have a company or when you just need a picture to illustrate a point.

    The guys there asked: “what if marketers (bloggers) didn’t have to shell out more money for photos, obsess about copyright laws, and fret over permissions? What if Hubspot could help solve this issue for them by offering a repository of stock photos that anyone could use completely for free? So that’s exactly what they did. They hired a photographer and took a ton of photos to give away for free — no royalties, fees, or attribution required.
